Expedition Vehicles

Our purpose-built expedition vehicles are designed to ensure they can handle the terrains and climates we operate in. Our first truck was built way back in 1996 and we have been continuously improving and refining  their design since then. We have a fleet of Scania 93 series 4x2 trucks which are renowned for their reliability and comfort. Our Southern Africa fleet is based in Harare, Zimbabwe where we operate our own, fully equipped workshop where each truck is thoroughly maintained by our staff there and our crews receive dedicated training.

Our overland trucks seat either 24 or 25 people. Large open windows are great for hot weather and for viewing wildlife. Tarpaulin sides roll down over the windows or large sliding windows are used. A unique feature of these vehicles is 'The Beach', an open-top area at the front of the truck.  

All have fitted seatbelts. Each truck carries a large amount of spare parts and tools including sand mats and spades for when the terrain is against us. They also have large water and food carrying capacity as well as a full camp kitchen. Each truck carries a full set of rugged, spacious, dome tents, designed to our own specifications. These are simple to put up and take down and have plenty of room for 2 people to share.
